Second Hex-[Action]

[Today Draco's at the edge of town, dressed in his Hogwarts uniform minus the robes and probably the sweater/vest, which is sitting on the ground neatly folded up. He doesn't seem to be too bothered by the heat as he appears to be holding his wand and casting a few spells. He's testing what the powercap limits him to mostly. Considering the fact that apparently there are a lot of people with magical ability here, he doesn't feel the need to hide his powers since they're obviously superior. Feel free to come fourth-wall bother him]

For some of them. It depends on whether the experiment has dangerous side effects or not.

[His eyes flick around the clearing. It's not as if he's nervous talking about the incident, or as if the whole thing was something to be secretive about. But it's not a pleasant memory.] The worst are those when you're only aware of what happened after the fact. When you aren't aware of yourself anymore.

[a pause] Like I said, you'll see soon enough.

That's one way to put it. [He could probably try to explain those locked entries, John, and ANI, but ... he doesn't really understand it himself.]

The sooner you realize what can limit you, the sooner you adjust. [...Not that you ever really adjust with the experiments.] But you already know that. [A dismissive wave at the boy's wand.]

...Over a year now, I suppose. [He looks skyward for a second as he counts the months.] Fifteen months, by our calendar.

Some say that time either stops or slows in your world while you're here. But I don't know how these temporal paradoxes around here work.

That's what I've heard, yes. [You're screwed, Draco.]

[Walter shrugs.] After you're here for awhile, you just might want to go home and take care of whatever you were doing. Depending on if you can tolerate Luceti.

[He refrains from rolling his eyes.] No one ever does.

That's right. Why?

I don't understand the paradoxes here. You'd have to ask one of those theorist or scientist types around here. The dead come back to life here, so clearly this place doesn't obey normal laws of nature.

...You weren't aware of that? [Now he's wondering if he needs to review what was actually in that guide.]

Not everyone is going to say outright "I died and this is my afterlife." There aren't any signs that they are any different from others here, either.

If people die during experiments or are otherwise killed, the Malnosso take their bodies away and revive them. ...So no, I don't suppose we've had any lasting ghosts around here.
