Fourthwall Catch-All

[Draco Malfoy can be seen flying around the village, walking around the village, and in general just observing everyone with a permanent line face because what the hell is this tomfoolery. He's not that hard to catch should someone want to, but eventually he settles for landing on the roof of Good Spirits and staring down at everyone walking by. Like a giant vulture. And when that proves worthless, he'll head for his usual spot down by the lake.

Meanwhile, Shiki Misaki is at All Passions all day and will be busy trying to bring in customers as usual. Need a new outfit? How about you? You? You, you, or you? When that fails, she'll probably be hanging out around the Brigade room. She's not really concerned about all of the new people. In fact, she's kind of excited. It's just like home again.

And of course Roxas is off doing his own thing.]

Forty-First Hex - Written

[Christmas has come and gone, and as usual Draco has pulled away from people to think about what's actually happened to him during his death. He's slowly worked out what's missing, but…what now? What was he to do with the information?

Well. Maybe it's time to ask the village. So, words, or rather names, will begin to appear on the page for anyone watching.]

Myuria Tionysus
Rachel Berenson
Ginia Solana
Caroline Forbes

Who are these people?

And furthermore…who can tell me about Harry Potter? Well, not Potter himself because clearly that's obvious, but rather of his time here...Granger's as well. You know, since she's no longer around to ask. The ruddy elf didn't seem to know anything either, but that was to be expected, so I guess...what do you all know that I don't?

[A vague, vague branch of questions. Let's see if it garners answers, shall we?]

Fortieth Hex - [Written/Action]

[When he first opens his eyes, he's immediately blinded by the sunlight and he hisses loudly, rolling over in the dirt to shield his eyes. He doesn't move for a moment, barely bothering to take in what was going on. It was obvious he was back. His clothes were still torn and disgusting from the last draft, and he had a few dried scabs on his arms, but otherwise...he seemed fine.

Sitting up, he gropes around the area for his journal to check the date.

Shit. Just how long was death supposed to last in this place? He supposed it wasn't too entirely unusual, considering how long Arumat was gone when he had been murdered. He adjusts himself on the ground, shifting the way he's sitting and reaching in his pocket for a pen. The writing is scratchy and scrawled, but the words are legible.]

So that's what it's like.

[He doesn't care. He doesn't care to read through everything and find out what he's missed. He's on his feet and carefully walking toward house 25, already knowing that Tsuzuki and Hisoka were waiting for him and most likely could kill him again for being dead for so long.

The thing was, however, was that he couldn't figure it out. He couldn't seem to wrap his mind around what he's lost as a penalty. Maybe he got lucky and they didn't take anything at all. That would be nice, wouldn't it? But it seemed highly unlikely, especially considering the nagging in the back of his mind that something was missing. He'd just have to work it out later.

Hmm...hello house 26. You seem awfully familiar, and not in the way that it was the house some of Draco's friends live in now. He used to spend a lot of time in that house, didn't he?

No. Maybe not. He couldn't imagine why he would...must be mistaken.

It isn't until he's almost at his front door that he takes his journal again, scrawling out a few more words.]

...am I the last one to come back then? Suppose they really do save the best for the end.

[ooc: Death penalty explained briefly here]

Thirty-Ninth Hex - [Written]

[As usual, Draco has once again gone and made himself scarce from a majority of the village as he works out more of his inner dilemmas. First and foremost, there's Hermione. She's most definitely, definitely not the same Hermione and it's freaking him out.

Secondly, he's officially given up on searching for Caroline Forbes. After running into other vampires...it's safe to say the blonde will never show up again.

And thirdly...? Even with his power, even with his abilities to turn into a coyote or produce patronuses or blow things up, he's finding it isn't enough to make him happy.

Recently he's returned from a mission, but he couldn't help but constantly think about the last experiment. He'd been convinced he was someone else, and he had absolutely no memories of who he really was...and it was nice. He was able to function like a normal human being again. Normally, he would make an elaborate announcement about his return, but this time...well, he's already pieced together what's happened in the village, and he's not sorry he's missed the tornado. No, instead he's entirely focused on what he's determined to find out. When he opens his journal, he's only got one sentence he'd like to share.]

What do you reckon it takes to bargain with our captors to permanently erase memories? Just curious.
hisdarkmark: (I suppose you caught on)

Thirty-Eighth Hex - [Voice/Action]

[Let's just be honest here, he's been back in the village for a couple of days, but he wasn't immediately going to go back to the house. It was an idle hope, but he'd spent a few nights in the forest searching still for a certain blonde vampire. When he does finally come home, he flips through the journal before deciding it's far too much effort to try and absorb everything.

He has other things to focus on instead, such as the knowledge the Malnosso inadvertently gave him. Their intentions with testing him over and over again might have been to terrorize him completely, but after the initial shock...well...it was quite beneficial, to his complete surprise.

When the journal clicks on, he can't help but smirk. Cool, calm, collected smugness. It's a face that hasn't been seen on Draco Malfoy in quite a while.]

I'd ask what I've missed in the last month or so, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to inform you all I actually don't give a damn. Instead I've an important question for anyone who can actually provide me with a decent answer.

In terms of kidnappings, have any of you actually benefitted from their tests? Come talk to me, I'm curious about other experiences.

[And he clicks the journal back off, just like that.]

[Action]

[And much later in the day, more like in the late evening, there's a new presence in the forest of Luceti. For anyone who might be out or wandering the forest and even the outskirts of the village themselves, they might catch a small, white coyote. The animal doesn't seem to be wild or feral...in fact it may or may not actually be strutting around. It eventually will end up at the Southern Lake though, taking a seat and staring out into the water.]
hisdarkmark: (I'm suddenly confused)
2012-05-15 12:51 am

Thirty-Seventh Hex - [Voice/Action]

[Hi Luceti. Today if you happen to be walking anywhere in the village, you might notice an overenthusiastic malamute attached to a leash. At the other end of said-leash is a rather disgruntled British wizard, more or less glaring at the dog as he's dragged along.

Stupid Arumat. Of course he had to disappear and shoulder him with the responsibility of yet another life. It was strange knowing that the man, the last original housemate, was officially gone. Not necessarily sad, though there was a hollow feeling he hadn't been able to shake off ever since he'd realized what had happened.

He didn't get much time to reflect on it though, seeing how the malamute has been working him. On their walk today, the dog's busy barking at pretty much everything, trying to pull Draco in all directions to sniff all the things.]

Gods, you're obnoxious, aren't you?

[He wraps the leash around his wrist to make it a tighter hold, using his free hand to make a grab for his journal while Edge is still pulling him along.]

I can't believe I'm asking this...

Dog training. What do any of you know of it? Time's a factor here, I'm half-tempted to toss him into the lake at this point.

[Later in the day, in fact, he will be at the lake. His lake. The South Lake. Edge the Malamute seems to have calmed down, but Draco's sitting up and a bit on edge. His wand's in front of him, and he seems to be concentrating.]

Expecto Patronum. [Nothing.] ...Expecto Patronum! [Still nothing. A frustrated sigh later and he's back to consulting Luceti as a whole. Though the journal's in his hands, he's hesitating for a moment. It'd be much easier if Hermione were still here, but she's not. That's a fact. She won't be returning anytime soon, so he'll have to make do with the resources he has.]

...second question for the lot of you. When do you reckon it's appropriate to give up on something?
hisdarkmark: (I never thought of it like that)
2012-03-22 10:18 pm

Thirty-Sixth Hex - [Voice/Action]

[Two months. It had been nearly two months since he had seen the two most important women in his life, and he was finally certain they weren't coming back anytime soon. All of the new feathers had finally seemed to settle in, and none of them were actually faces he was familiar with.

In those two months, Draco Malfoy had made himself quite scarce, save for interacting with a few people he found curious and his new housemates. He didn't really want to meet new people, if you wanted to know the truth. Luceti was one big lie anyway. However, he knew he couldn't keep himself holed up in his room even longer. He really needed a hobby, actually.

And that was how Draco Malfoy found himself outside, broom in one hand, journal in the other. As he clamped the journal under his arm and mounted the broom, he allowed his mind to wander back to thoughts of his home world. Everything was much easier when he was able to use the entirety of his powers. He could do anything he had wanted at home, couldn't he? What could he do here?

...

...no, really, what could he do...he had a few ideas, but as he flew higher and higher he began to wonder what the masses would say. He soon came to a stop high above the ground near the plaza, balancing himself to open his journal and finally speak.]

In your opinion, what would be the most useful or most amazing thing magic should be able to do?

[And that's all he'll say. No hellos, no welcomes, nothing. Draco Malfoy wants straight answers, and he wants them now. People are free to answer him via journal, but should they enter the center of the village anytime soon they might look up and spot a blonde boy hovering above them.]

Thirty-Fifth Hex aka Draco Malfoy and the Fourth Wall -[Action]

...[A heavy sigh. This? This was really not something he needed at the moment. Maybe he was mistaken. Maybe both of the girls were somewhere together. Before he could dwell on the fact that certain people more than likely have disappeared, he's heading outside to Apparate toward the village for a distraction.

Imagine his surprise upon finding the massive growth of the population.]

...bloody hell, it's like a Gemino curse hit. [He does a quick scan, checking out the new...non-feathers.] Fantastic.

[Well. Best to blend for now and see if he can figure out what this mess is.]

Thirty-Fourth Hex [Voice/Action]

[Draco Malfoy was starting to go a bit stir-crazy. After four straight days of snow, then cold, then more snow, and more cold, he had realized that staying in the confines of House 25 wasn't doing him any good. Hence today he's decided to head to the Battle Dome and test his programming skills. He's gotten pretty good at it, he likes to think.

When his journal clicks on, anyone viewing it will get a good glance of the front of a large manor.]

So...you really can recreate anything, can't you. [He's going to go ahead and walk down the path toward the front door of the house, and as he enters into the front hall he's going to continue talking to the village at large. This may just be a test to see if he can continue communication inside a simulation.]

How are the rest of you coping with the snow we've received over the last few days? I'd like a few back-up plans in case this doesn't serve to satisfy. At least when it was warm I could fly a bit, but this is starting to get ridiculous.

[And he's going to turn down the halls, wandering through the maze that is the manor with the ease of someone so familiar with the area. There are the sounds of other footsteps behind him, but if he hears them he doesn't seem to care.]

What's next, anyway? They've left us alone for a while...may as well start to prepare for something big to come. What are the chances they've grown bored with us? New Feathers. You might be the next targets. You ought to have a fair warning.

[His attention's drawn away from the journal then as the footsteps stop, and he finds himself facing a masked figure.] I was wondering when you'd turn up. [And he's withdrawing his wand, closing the journal. Though the picture's no longer available, the last thing heard is the sound of a spell firing off and ricocheting around the room.

[Though he'll stay in the chamber for the full allotted hour, he will be taking a break between enemies appearing and after his hour's up to answer anyone who's contacted him via journals. People are also free to find him in the main lobby of the Battle Dome as well after his simulation's over.]
hisdarkmark: (I can't believe you're serious)

Thirty-Third Hex - [Voice/Action]

[The journal feed cuts to Draco staring at his journal with a mug of coffee in his hand, snorting in disbelief as he's reading the message that's appeared there. It also appears as though he doesn't quite realize there is smoke slowly billowing out of his ears and nose, like some sort of dragon.]

This is ridiculous. 'Stop smoking. Or start. Whichever you're not doing. There's someone living in your walls, and he's pissed. Your next career: ventriloquist'? Absolutely ridiculous! If I was going to pick a career, I would hope it's something--

[And he abruptly cuts himself off. He's just come across the last portion of his horoscope.]

...'Stick to tea. Coffee is making the tumor bigger'.

I don't have a ruddy tumor! ...I hope not, at least. [Yes, he's peering at that mug suspiciously now before nonchalantly setting it down and pushing it as far away as possible.]

Is anyone else taking this seriously? Tell me this is just someone who grew a tad too bored and went about making everything up to drive the rest of us mad.

[And suddenly there's a loud yell coming from somewhere to Draco's left. He looks over, and he's vaguely wondering if it's Arumat, but...Arumat's room is the other way.]

Though...should a man actually turn up in my walls, what would be the best way to dispose of him? Best to be prepared in any case.

[After spending the morning in his house holding arguments with the man in the wall and looking through the kitchen cabinets for another drink, residents can find Draco in a few places today. He'll start at the grocery store, trying to find something to drink that isn't coffee. In fact he might have all of his options spread out on the floor as he examines them all. After his trip to the grocery he'll be wandering the plaza, determined to get away from the person in the walls for a little while. The smoke is much more prominent though as it spirals up and into the air from his ears and nose.

And if he finds someone that would make for an excellent ventriloquist dummy? He may have to consider it.]

Thirty-Second Hex - [Voice/Action]

[The moon is currently staring at Draco. And Draco is currently staring back. He's not as perturbed by it as one would think. Why, it actually reminds him a little of his former master. Or whatever you could consider the Dark Lord at this point.

Granted, the fact that it was incredibly large and a bit closer than he was comfortable with didn't help matters.

Today Draco found himself at the southern lake, but he was on guard. There wasn't any way he was going to allow himself to be less than that and get knocked out again. Not after what happened with Harth. He wasn't planning on staying for long though, considering he was only out there looking for a certain ring that belonged to a certain vampire. It was just about the time he was getting ready to leave the area that he spotted something floating near the edge of the water. He got up from the brush he was examining and crawled closer, peering down at the shore and lifting a mask out of the water. Settling back on his heels, he examined it a bit. Looked a bit cheap if you asked him. But when in doubt? Ask the peanut gallery. So soon, Luceti, if you happen to be looking at your journals you'll see that mask in the camera of the journals.]

Which of you knows what this is? [He pulls it away from the journal, and it's clear that he's examining it again although he's still not impressed.] Bonus points for anyone who can logically explain the freakshow that used to be known as the moon.

[There's a displeased sound as Draco taps the mask against the journal before he slips it on, just to see if it fits. He leans back over the lake to look at his reflection.] Really not my ideal mask...though better than the Death Eater's mask. [And there's a sudden pause because why. Did he just announce that. He's hesitant to speak again, and it's evident in his tone.]

Wandering in the rain without an umbrella...perhaps not my best idea. ...fine, Moon. You win this round. And just this round. [And he's going to pick up his journal and start heading for house 25. He was going to see if Caroline was at his house, and if she wasn't he'd make his round checking on her and Hisoka as well. People are free to catch him on his way home or respond to him via the journal.]

Thirty-First Hex - [Written]

Private, 100% Unhackable )

For anyone who actually cared about him, though Merlin knows why anyone would Ron Weasley seems to have vanished. Quite possibly for good.

That being said, anyone I spoke with about a certain proposition? Be aware that this has been pushed back until I feel like trying again. I've other things to be doing. Granted, if you wish to prove yourself to me now instead of waiting, house 25 is your best bet.

New feathers finally settled in I see. It never gets old watching a handful of them running around screaming. Am I the only one who finds it strange that it all seems ridiculous now?

It's also strange knowing that this is the first year I won't be attending school. Stopping by to observe is one thing, but being a student? Granted if I were home I'd be working at the Ministry by now. Or dead. One of the two. Suppose that means it's time to go back to independent study if I feel like keeping my mind sharp.

[And suddenly there's a loud sigh.] Question for the masses, then. Give me your favorite animal. Don't ask questions, just give me answers. [He has a theory he wants to test, that's all. It just requires asking simple questions.]

Thirtieth Hex - [Written]

[He knew it would only be a matter of time before it happened again, but he wasn't expecting it to be so soon. This time, it didn't really hurt, though it did cause him to raise an eyebrow.

After all, the last conversation he had with her was about a certain organization...could it be that the Malnosso were listening?

Let them listen then. Let them know that certain people wouldn't take their torture lying down. Let them know that Draco Malfoy was going to start an army of magic users against them!

...okay, perhaps not let them know that. That would be foolish, and it was a stupid idea anyway. It's not his army, but it's a thought. He had to play this right, hence the reason he's had the journal open for the last fifteen minutes, contemplating how he should address the village as a whole without seeming suspicious.

...ah. Right. Organization. Filters, organizations and being vague. That always seems to work.]

First of all, how many of you would consider yourself magic users? Or rather, how many of you are learning?

Not that I'm that interested, mind you. Not yet. Curiosity sake. After this past experiment...I'm interested to see how many of you managed to defend yourself properly.

I may have a proposition for you should I deem you worthy.

[Draco's not stupid. He anticipates a few people coming to him saying they'd like to learn as well. Let them. He'll deal with it. But in the meantime...]

What would you say if I told you I might be interested in restarting the DA?

[Filtered to Harry Potter and Ron Weasley]

Don't you dare write me off just yet. Now's the time to actually focus. Did you know there are several people here that know how to use magic? Far more than I anticipated. Don't you think it'd be wise to show them that ours is better? Give them something to try and aim for. Give me your thoughts.

Twenty-Ninth Hex - [Written, Action should anyone be at the South Lake]

Private, 98% Unhackable with just enough space for a determined empathic best friend to hack if he really set his mind to it. )

[There's a brief pause between when he writes the unhackable piece and when he addresses the public at large, but slowly words start to appear on the page.]

So now that I've been here nearly two years, do I get some sort of prize? Perhaps an upgrade in my welcome package? The wings and journal are nice, but really, I feel like I should receive something more after serving my time here.

What does one even do here after such an amount of time? Besides wonder what could have happened during all that time at home should time actually move, I mean. I'd rather not think about that if it's all the same to you.

Actually, here's something you can all think about instead. Morality; what is your stance on it? Elaborate on it for me. I'm sure some of you can try to enlighten me on what's right and what's wrong and why people should bother following a moral code.

...actually, that would have been a perfect question for Severus. Alas.

[He doesn't quite realize that that sounds worse than he intended, but he'll happily sit back and wait for answers as he watches the lake. Occasionally he'll let his wand swish through the air as a white wispy figure darts around the area, barking now and again as it fades in and out of existence.]

Twenty-Eighth Hex - [Voice/Action]

[The Malnosso really seem to like screwing with him, don't they? Draco's of the opinion that they can go and shove it, but he doesn't say as much. No, instead, he's currently sitting on the bank of the lake, soaking wet and holding his journal in his hands. His wand is at his side, but it seems to be laying forgotten.

His intentions, of course, were to announce his grand re-entrance into Luceti. But a certain announcement caught his attention first.]

Bloody perfect.

[He continues to stare at it, barely registering the names past his own. He picks up his wand then and points it in front of him, pausing for a moment. He glances around to make sure he's alone before swishing and flicking in the direction of a nearby stone.]

Wingardium Leviosa. [Nope. That stone stays put. Okay, let's try another very simple spell...seeing how he's already tried making the more advanced ones work.] Lumos. [Still nothing. Wow. Thanks guys, what a time to take away his magic. Arseholes.

It's only then that he puts the wand down and fulfills his original purpose, pressing the record button in his journal.]

[Voice; General Public.]

You know, I've always wanted to spend my birthday in the middle of a rainforest fighting for something I don't give a damn about. No really, couldn't this have waited? [Never mind the fact his birthday isn't until the 5th.] I didn't sign up for this.

It's almost summer again, isn't it? If I gave a damn about the ocean, I might consider heading that way. I suppose that leads to the next question of what is there to do around here during those months? You'd think I'd have an idea after being here for almost three summers, but everything seems stupid.

New feathers again. Why is it always a huge amount of them arriving at the same time? And why can't it ever be anyone useful?

I've come to realize I actually really hate Luceti. Hell...

And this, Draco, is why you don't make friends. People. Always. Leave.

I do believe I've suddenly become less of an Englishman this way, but coffee has become a bit of a vice. Far more bitter than most tea, but the effects are far greater. ...a year and a half later, and I'm talking about beverages. Honestly.

New Feathers? Good luck surviving here. You'll need all the help you can get, lest you go mad and start prattling on about the differences between tea and coffee.

[For once, Draco's not at his house, he's not stalking Potter house, and he's not at his lake. Instead, he's tucked into a back corner of Good Spirits bar with a different journal. He's got his Malnosso-distributed journal open to monitor the traffic, but he's a bit focused on writing in the other journal while rotating a cup of coffee in his free hand. Really, who drinks coffee in a bar? Apparently Draco Malfoy does. Bother at your own risk.]

I feel as though the Japanese had the right idea in making Valentine's Day strictly for girls. At least the men there get to put off this ridiculous holiday for another month.

Let's get this over with, shall we? As soon as today's over, Cupid becomes unemployed and I regain a bit of my sanity. A bit.

And if I missed anybody that should be on that limited close-circle list, I'm so sorry! Fickle muse is fickle and I can't remember off the top of my head at the moment. I was hoping that this would wear off after a short amount of time, but it seems as though I've been mistaken. If anyone has any ideas on how to change back, they would be most appreciated.

There can't possibly be any benefits from this, can there?

[Yes, he's a bit too frazzled to even try to bully information out of people. Well, wouldn't you be too if you'd spent the last few days as your mother? This wasn't exactly what he had in mind when he said he wanted to go home.]

Hisoka. Rachel. Both of you report to me immediately.

...Potter and Granger, you as well, I suppose.
